Igår var der finaler i COD4 på PC ved The-Experience, og efter to hæsblæsende Grand Finals, så stod Fnatic som den endelige vinder og 5.625€ rigere! Fnatic spillede mod Team CoolerMaster i finalerne, hvor CoolerMaster vandt det første map (Backlot) 13-11 efter at scores havde været 11-11 og stemningen var i top. Andet map skulle Fnatic vælge, og her var der ingen tvivl: Strike.

En af de britiske kommentatorere lagde hovedet på blokken: "Fnatic are playing TCM in the hand. This is Robye's (TCM sniper) map"! -men han kunne ikke være mere på vildspor, Fnatic var helt oppe i det røde felt og efter 12 runder hvor de skulle attacke, så var scoren 10-2 i Fnatic's favør. Imponerende, især når det generelt er sværest at attacke! Fnatic lukkede kampen 13-4 og så kunne de rejse hænderne i vejret og kalde sig officielle The-Experience mestre!

Efter kampen, fik jeg en god snak med Fnatic's sniper Stevy. En af de unge spillere, der har stormet frem på scenen og hans utrolige COD4 montage har kun været med til at gøre ham endnu mere poulær. Interviewet er på engelsk, da han er englænder og det virker forkert at lave fordanskede oversættelser af hans svar (læs: Jeg er for doven :P ).

Bada: First off, huge congrats! You had a bad habit of placing second, how does it feel to finally be number 1? What was the first thought going through your head when you won?

Stevy: Finally! IT FEELS GREAT! We been getting too many second places, but this time we nailed it!

Bada: What do you think of the event?

Stevy: Its been almost perfect and its one of the most professional events I ever attended. The PCs were great and they ran perfectly, apart from the small incident in the finals.

Bada: Yeah, gotta ask about that: The first map of the finals, your computer crashes twice within the first 4 rounds and your team is down 3-1. The organizers said that the first map should be totally replayed, but your team captain talked to Team Cooler Master and gave them the 3-1 lead by suiciding after the restart - is this some kind of unwritten rule?

Stevy: No, but we wanted to have a good ending to the tournament and we value sportsmanship very high. It was natural to give them the rounds, even though it isn't fun starting a map being down 3-1.

Bada: Lets switch it up a bit - When playing on defence, you have several opening setups and snipe-spots. How do you decide when to use which?

Stevy: I try adapt to the opponent, map and my team and use that knowledge to get the upper hand. I try to mix my spots up a lot and move around the map during the round, so I can catch them off guard and keep them guessing.

Bada: I can't help noticing that you are the youngest guy on the team; how does this feel?

Stevy: Well, I have always been the youngest so I'm used to it... -I'm looking forward to the day where I team with a younger player, though *laughs*

Bada: We all enjoy picking on the younger guys! You have reached amazing levels, what would your advice be for players that want to up their game?

Stevy: Have fun and never give up! I used to be a bad player - and I mean REALLY bad - but look where I am now. *laughs*

Bada: Good advice right there. So what now, is it early to bed or...?

Stevy: Its PARTY TIME! *laughs*
