European TEKKEN Cup comes to Eldorado Esports for its Nordic Major
STOCKHOLM, Sweden – October 18 – The best Nordic TEKKEN 8 players will face each other in the Nordic Major of the European TEKKEN Cup on November 16 at Eldorado Esports in Oslo, Norway. Following the launch of TEKKEN 8 in January, the local scene is thriving and the tournament in Oslo represents a chance to see which Nordic players have risen to the top and challenge for the €3,000 prize pool and additional prizes. The Finals of the European TEKKEN Cup, held at Gamescom LAN in February 2025, will feature an overall prize pool of €32,000 along with the title of the European King of Iron Fist.
The Nordic major is produced by Ranking Battles Norway in collaboration with Bandai Namco Nordic and Eldorado Esports.
European TEKKEN Cup is a TEKKEN 8 tournament scheduled from October 2024 – February 2025. The tournament consists of tournaments ranging from local Dojos to Majors. A Dojo is a community-hosted event that awards points based on the bracket size. A Major is the largest, most prestigious tournament in each region and provides the greatest number of points. Competitions are open, so anyone can enter, but only players from the respective region can collect points towards the ETC Finals. Each Region will host one Major event and there are 9 regions (France, Benelux, Iberica, Italy & Malta, UK & IR, D.A.CH, Poland, Nordic, and Greece). At the end of the season the two best placed players in the regional rankings will qualify for the Finals in February.
