Activision satser stort på eSport med meddelelsen om at de opretter en afdeling dedikeret til eSport. Dette selvstændige forretningsområde bliver bemandet med erfarne folk. Det bliver direktøren fra TV sportsnetværket ESPN Steve Bornstein og Mike Sepso der var med-stifter af Major League Gaming (MLG) det får ansvaret. I pressemeddelelsen er der desuden vist både Call of Duty og Destiny logo, hvilket nok skal få Internettet til at gløde med spekulationer. Former CEO of ESPN and the NFL Network Steve Bornstein will serve as the division’s Chairman and Mike Sepso, who was most recently a co-founder and president of Major League Gaming (MLG), will serve as its Senior Vice President.
