Season 7 – Ascension: Respawn is delivering the next massive update for Apex Legends with Season 7 – Ascension on November 4, adding a b rand new map, new Legend, the game’s first v ehicle, clubs and much more.
New Map – Olympus – Season 7 brings the Apex Games to the floating city of Olympus. Players will traverse a lush artificial terrain full of b eautiful and treacherous landscapes. Clean, slick highways connect upscale shopping centers, industrial docks, and l avish estates. An imposing artificial mountain hides a massive turbine overlooking the planet Psamathe below. Phase Runners teleport players to new locations, or they can hop on the new floating “Trident” vehicles to cover ground fast! F rom the seedy underbelly of Energy Depot t o the glistening Bonsai Plaza, Olympus will give players new experiences, new e nvironments, and new ways to challenge their Apex Legends skills.
New Legend – Horizon – Charmingly eccentric astrophysicist Dr. Mary Somers aka Horizon comes equipped with a custom spacesuit that allows her to fall from great heights and control her movements in the air. She can deploy gravity lifts to give her team a vertical boost, and she can even deploy N.E.W.T. to drop a micro black hole to suck opponents in and blast them with gravity. H orizon is entering the Games to e arn enough money to find a way to travel back in time and be with her son. Fortunately s he’s developed some powerful gravity-altering tech to help her along the way.
Vehicle – Trident – The Trident is a three-seater hover vehicle that players can find all throughout the outskirts o f
Olympus. Getting around the map will be easier and quicker than ever before, with a boost ability to get over obstacles and fly off jump ramps. The Trident offers powerful new tactical options for various Legend abilities – Rampart’s minigun or Caustic’s barrels can be deployed in the back to w reak havoc.
Clubs – In Season 7 Apex Legends will give players the ultimate tool to build better squads with the new Clubs feature. The feature will allow p layers to find others that match their experience level, interests, or playstyle, to build a community they can drop in with again a nd again. Club leaders can also design their own logos to show off their unique colors and strike fear in the hearts of enemies.
Battle Pass – Battle Pass and challenge progression have been s treamlined to give players more opportunities to earn rewards. An improved challenge tracker on the right side of the screen i n the lobby will highlight the status of daily and weekly challenges a nd an in-match tracker will give players the ability to keep an eye on challenges they’re close to completing. A new W raith and Octane Legendary skin take fashion to new heights in the game. Players that make it to level 100 will unlock the Cutting Edge Reactive R99 to further flaunt their status.
Steam – Apex Legends is now available on Steam and features cross-play as well as cross-progression with PC Origin. Competitors who play Apex Legends via Steam during Season 7 can pick up the exclusive Valve-inspired gun charms.
