Ratchet & Clank-udvikleren, Insomniac Games er kommet med flere detaljer, om det nye Spider-Man spil. Insomniac fortæller nu at spillet ikke har noget med filmen Spider-Man: Homecoming at gøre, som kommer næste år. Det nye spil vil skildre en ældre og mere erfaren Spider-Man.

“[Spider-Man is] someone who’s been doing this for more than a couple of years; we want to make sure his fighting style reflects that,”.
“To us, Peter is as important as the Spider-Man character.”
Insomniac vil endnu ikke komme med flere detaljer om gameplay-elementerne i spillet. Men fortsætter:
“We’re going to push him in some areas, whether it’s traversal, whether it’s fighting, whether it’s just open world exploration,” forklarer han. “Peter is a really smart guy. How does that tie into his life not just as Peter Parker but when he brings [his intelligence] to the fight?
Spider-Man er indtil videre en arbejdstitel og udkommer til PlayStation 4. Det er det første licensspil Insomniac nogensinde har udviklet. Spillet har endnu ikke en udgivelsesdato, men filmen Spider-Man: Homecoming kommer i biografen i juli 2017.
