The world of DRAGON BALL continues to expand with a brand-new DRAGON BALL world and its entirely original characters— all brought to life by Akira Toriyama. Set for 2027, the “AGE 1000” project will introduce even more unique characters as the adventure unfolds. In a reveal trailer, fans can witness the debut of a never-before-seen character—designed by Akira Toriyama himself—within the new DRAGON BALL world, “AGE 1000.”
Further updates on this project will be announced at Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026, which will be held in the U.S.A on 18-19 April 2026 (PST).
Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026
Now in its sixth year, Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour was launched with the goal of delivering the latest news and the full appeal of DRAGON BALL —a franchise that continues to expand across manga, anime, films, games, figures, and toys—to fans around the world. This year as well, we will present a lineup of content packed with everything that represents DRAGON BALL today, on a scale and with a depth never seen before.
At this year’s event, fans can look forward to a special stage featuring the latest DRAGON BALL announcements, as well as various tournaments for titles such as DRAGON BALL FighterZ, DRAGON BALL SUPER CARD GAME MASTERS, DRAGON BALL SUPER CARD GAME FUSION WORLD, and DRAGON BALL SUPER CARD GAME Fusion World Digital.
In addition, the event will offer an abundance of content, including stages and booth exhibits for various DRAGON BALL games—such as the newest titles DRAGON BALL GEKISHIN SQUADRA and DRAGON BALL: Sparking! DRAGON BALL: Sparking! Zero gets new content and modes coming this summer
During the Genkidamatsuri event, it’s been announced that DRAGON BALL: Sparking! Zero will receive new content in the form of a DLC coming this year.
In addition to new characters that will be revealed later, the game will receive new costumes, stages and modes. Super 17, Bardock (Super Saiyan) and King Piccolo are among the upcoming characters.
The theme song for this new DLC will be performed by Hironobu Kageyama. This marks his first time in 18 years contributing a theme song to content related to the Dragon Ball Z: Sparking! series, with both the lyrics and composition handled by Kageyama himself. Please look forward to a powerful track that perfectly matches the intense battles featured in Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO.
The first mode to come will be released as a free update and is named “Mission 100”. It’s a solo mode featuring 100 battles with specific conditions for both your team and your opponents, similar to a mode that existed in DRAGON BALL Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3. Another free update coming this spring will add a “Survival Mode”.
This new DLC content will make its way to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC this summer.
