Wargaming, developer and publisher of naval franchise World of Warships, is sailing toward fall with its latest August update for World of Warships: Legends. Jam-packed with plenty of Legendary and Premium ships to unlock, this update introduces a trio of free new Bureau Projects to the game that players can research to obtain three Legendary Tier ships, plus a free collaboration themed around iconic American metal band Megadeth. On top of this, August introduces another classic Legends-style campaign that spans 5 weeks and 100 milestones with German Tier VIII Premium destroyer Z-44 waiting at the end, as well as three new seasons of Arena Battles to dive into!
Megadeth collab
This collaboration brings—absolutely for free— American Tier IV Premium cruiser Rattlehead; 2x Commander guises, depicting Dave Mustaine himself and band mascot Vic Rattlehead; and a special flag, patch base, and patch symbol. This metal content is available until October 2 via respective platforms, missions, and Legends’ socials.
Three Legendary ships enter the Bureau
Three free Legendary Tier Bureau Projects are primed and ready for players to research, and they are packed full of in-game rewards to unlock. Included in this lineup is French heavy cruiser Henri IV, gifted with speed and punchy high-caliber guns, and a remarkably heavily armed ship with sixteen 15-inch guns—Italian battleship Cristoforo Colombo. Pan-European destroyer Halland also makes an appearance, and this ship can inflict significant damage across the sea and sky with her rapid-reloading torpedoes and guns. This dynamic trio of Legendary European vessels await players as the final rewards of the three different Projects.
Welcoming the “Wagen un Winnen” campaign
This August update welcomes a fresh campaign to Legends’ waters. Waiting at the end of 100 milestones across 5 weeks, players with an active Admiralty Backing who complete the “Wagen un Winnen” campaign can secure German Tier VIII Premium destroyer Z-44. This special ship is equipped with impressive rapid-reloading, long-range torpedoes, and her great concealment allows her to stealthily wreak havoc, especially when she activates her Smoke Generator consumable. For any players who get distracted from the action, this campaign has the catch-up mechanic enabled.
Alongside the three new Bureau Projects, three seasons of Arena Battles kick off from September 7. This cooperative battle mode brings together four teams of three to fight for naval dominance, and players will be taking out their seasonally eligible Tier IV–VI ships. With no carriers and with the special Arms Race mechanic implemented, allowing permanent upgradable bonuses to be used, there’s plenty of action is set to unfold!
This update also delivers a number of bug fixes, upgrades, and balance changes across the game.
