I anledning af Moomin Day som er 7. august 2026 så er der en frisk trailer ude til Moomin: Midsummer Madness der udkommer til PC og begge Switch senere i år. Spillet følger Moomintroll og Little My fra Tove Jansson’s Moominsummer Madness, mens de navigerer den oversvømmede Moominvalley hvor Jansson’s originale illustrationer danner baggrund.
Today is Moomin’s Day, the annual celebration of Tove Jansson’s birthday, marked by fans of the Moomin books around the world since 2005. To mark the occasion, a new trailer has been released for Moomin: Midsummer Madness, confirming that the game will launch this Autumn 2026 on PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2, with a physical Nintendo Switch edition available from day one for Nordic collectors.
Jansson, born in Helsinki in 1914, created the Moomins, which went on to become one of Finland’s best-known cultural exports. The books have been translated into more than 60 languages and remain a fixture of childhood across the Nordic region and well beyond it.
Moomin: Midsummer Madness is inspired by Jansson’s 1954 novel Moominsummer Madness. When a great flood sweeps over Moominvalley, the Moomin family takes shelter in a mysterious floating theatre. Players follow Moomintroll and Little My as they try to find their way home, meeting familiar faces from the books along the way. The game is hand-painted in a style that stays close to Jansson’s original illustrations, and is built to be played across generations in a single sitting of four to six hours.
A physical Nintendo Switch edition will be available at launch. Nordic retail partners and pre-order details will follow.
