This is why Call of Duty® are offering Swedish fans a “karensdags grant” of 1400 Swedish Krona, so they can live out the dream of ghosting their boss on launch day.
A missed day of work means a lost daily wage – a strain for many, especially with Christmas just around the corner. To lessen the strain and celebrate the upcoming release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III®, Call of Duty is launching a local campaign for fans of the franchise so that they can play the game all day long on its Friday 10th November release day.
For both Swedish and global gamers, there is a longstanding but unspoken tradition of taking the day off to play your favourite game on its launch day, but it’s almost always unpaid. This time, Call of Duty is offering fans a “karensdags grant” of SEK 1400, so that they can choose to ignore their boss’s emails and improve their multiplayer K/D instead. Further prizes also include consoles, tickets to DreamHack, and Call of Duty merchandise.
To be in with the chance of winning the Call of Duty karensdags grant, fans will have to prove themselves worthy by completing Call of Duty MWIII’s brand new riddle-based campaign, Ghost Your Boss.
About the competition
Makarov, the ultimate threat has returned, extending his grasp across the world causing Task Force 141 to fight like never before to stop his sinister plans. Ghost and Task Force 141 have acquired enemy intel, and are recruiting Swedish Call of Duty fans to decipher riddles set by Makarov. Riddles can be answered alone, or, to win more prizes, as a group of three.
