Wargaming, publisher and developer of the popular multiplayer naval action game—World of Warships—are introducing a bountiful haul of new content with the April update for the console edition, World of Warships: Legends. This update marks the Fourth Anniversary of Legends, with an abundance of in-game rewards on offer, including a Tier IV Premium destroyer for veteran players. In addition to the celebrations around its longevity, Legends is gearing up for a slew of Japanese-themed content drops, with a glowing Golden Week range arriving on April 24, the introduction of card collections to the game, and Japanese Premium battleship Iwami waiting at the end of another classic campaign.

World of Warships: Legends Turns Four!

Marking 4 years since the launch of the game’s open beta test, World of Warships: Legends is celebrating its anniversary by sharing a special Loyalty Reward bundle with players. The gifts increase in value depending on how long the recipients have been registered in the game, with seasoned Legends veterans receiving an exclusive Tier IV destroyer—French Premium ship Cyclone. Players can also unlock additional rewards by completing a special time-limited anniversary mission.

Silver Tsurugi Campaign and Golden Week Content

The celebrations don’t stop there! To mark the occasion of Golden Week, Legends is introducing a special range of themed content on April 24. Included in this range are ship skins, a new crate, and a unique Commander guise that comes with its own special voiceover.

The influx of Japanese content continues with the new Silver Tsurugi Campaign. Following the classic 5-week, 100-milestone format, this campaign comes to a mighty reward crescendo in the form of impressive Japanese Premium battleship Iwami. A worthy addition to any armada, Iwami possesses incredibly accurate and rapid-firing main battery guns, complemented by devastating torpedoes.

Collections in Legends

Making their debut on Legends’ waters, collections enter the game with this update. The collectibles are obtainable via special crates and mission chains, and they offer a new way for completionists to enjoy the game and gather memorabilia. The first of this new series is the 12-card Kaigun collection, themed around Japanese Navy commanders, ships, and aircraft. Players who complete this inaugural collection will be rewarded with Mikasa ’23, sporting a bright new paint job.

Arms Race Mode in the Arena

Closing out this packed update is the launch of three Arena seasons in Legends. Kicking off on April 20, players can battle it out in the Arms Race Mode helming ships from Tier VI to Legendary Tier to prove their mettle, depending on the season.

The mobile edition of World of Warships: Legends is also about to receive a handful of updates that will deliver improvements to the main menu user interface; updates for the zoom function in the Binocular view; and a new, simplified introductory battle for players that comes equipped with a guided tutorial.

All Aboard for $120,000 in Rewards

To add to the fun, World of Warships is introducing an exciting month-long opportunity for PC players to win their share of a $120,000 prize pool! From April 6, players who unlock three selected newcomer achievements can earn $20 for their PayPal accounts. Seasoned players can also get in on the action by inviting new players through the Recruiting Station, to unlock $10 for their wallets per Recruit.
